Need support on other media topics?
We think about communication holistically – from strategic positioning to crisis appearances. For newly appointed communications leads, we also offer a structured onboarding program.
Media Training Workflow
No two media trainings are alike. We develop every training individually – based on your role, your topics and the formats you are preparing for. The focus is on practice: concrete exercise situations and immediately applicable tools.

Needs assessment and goal definition
Before the training even begins, we jointly determine which competencies should be sharpened: preparation for critical interviews, improving your company’s key messages, confident presence in front of camera and microphone, or assurance in live performances. Perhaps you need preparation for a specific upcoming interview? That’s possible too. This goal-setting process forms the foundation of your individual media training, tailored precisely to your role and your communication responsibilities. With us, you get exactly what you need – and nothing more.
Analysis of your current media performance
During the training itself, you complete a simulated media appearance without any prior preparation. This initial interview sequence reveals how you respond under pressure, what strengths you already bring to the table and where there is potential for growth. You receive feedback on your impact, body language, and voice, the structure and clarity of your answers, and typical communication patterns. This baseline assessment forms the foundation for the next steps of your media coaching.

Compact theoretical foundations for effective media communication
Before moving into in-depth practice, you receive a brief, concise introduction to the most important communication principles. This compact theory block builds the understanding you need for the practical exercises that follow.
Practice, practice, practice
in realistic interview situations
In the practical training, you either work on a specific occasion – such as an upcoming interview or a particular communication format – or you practice general interview situations to strengthen your overall media competence. The simulations are deliberately designed to be true to life: we don’t just play journalists – we are journalists, and we know exactly what our colleagues look for in interviews.
Every exercise is temporarily recorded on camera. Afterwards, we analyze the sequences together. This way, you immediately see how your answers come across, what nonverbal signals you are sending and where you are already performing convincingly.

Handling critical questions and crisis situations
An effective media training includes practicing how to handle sensitive topics and challenging situations. You learn strategies for critical questions, formulations for resilient and clear answers, and guidelines for composure under pressure. This section is tailored to your industry and your role, so you maintain your bearings even in high-pressure moments.
Individual feedback and transfer into your daily practice
At the close of the training, you receive precise, individual feedback with concrete recommendations. You take away tools you can put to use immediately in your professional life: checklists, message frameworks, and personalized practice prompts. This is how your media training creates lasting impact. If desired, we can arrange a follow-up session together, allowing you to deepen your skills or prepare specifically for new occasions.

Q&A
Your questions,
our answers
How long does media training take?
How much time you want to invest depends entirely on your goal. A half day is sufficient for a focused introduction or a targeted practice situation. A full day offers intensive practice with multiple scenarios, while longer programs create space for deeper learning and repetition. We are happy to advise you on what best suits your needs.
What does media training cost?
The cost depends on the scope of the training. After a brief initial conversation, we will put together a tailored proposal.
Do you offer individual or group training?
We offer both individual and group training. In individual training, the focus is entirely on your personal impact. Group training is ideal when teams want to develop key messages together or appear jointly in public.
Can training also take place online?
Yes, online training is possible – but for lasting results, we recommend conducting at least part of the training in person. Personal feedback, camera experience and body language can be conveyed far more effectively face to face.
How realistic are the training situations?
We design interviews, press conversations, and crisis scenarios to be as realistic as possible. Drawing on our experience as former journalists and our daily involvement in our clients’ interviews, we know what is currently relevant. We work with camera and audio equipment – optionally in real TV studios or comparable environments.
How do I keep up the momentum after training? Are there follow-ups or refreshers?
Yes, we offer refresher training upon request. This allows you to deepen what you have learned, practice new situations and continue developing your performance over the long term.
Can I bring my own requests regarding the media training?
Absolutely. We build every training individually for each participant. In a preliminary conversation, we clarify which modules make sense for you and how to incorporate your specific wishes.
